The body can not absorb this supplement, and it will be excreted through urine. This leads to a deficiency in the body, which causes problems such as bone pain, muscle weakness and fatigue. This will increase calcium in your body.
How many tablets should I take daily? It is recommended that you take 2-3 tablets per day if you are taking vitamin D supplements for more than a month. If it is only for a few days or weeks then 1 tablet per day is enough. It may be difficult to get used to this amount of supplementation but after that you will reduce.
Hypervitaminosis D
Hypervitaminosis D is a condition caused by excessive intake of vitamin D. It can be caused by taking too much vitamin D supplements, or eating foods that are high in vitamin D.
What causes Hypervitaminosis D? The most common cause of hypervitaminosis is taking high doses of vitamin D supplements. The body needs very little to no natural source of vitamin D to make it and this allows the body to store excess amounts in fat cells for later use as needed.
