Vitamin D excess

Excess vitamin D in body is called vitamin D toxicity. Vitamin D toxicity can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, constipation and muscle weakness.  It can also lead to high blood calcium levels which may result in kidney stones or other problems with bones. Normally this type of toxicity is not very common but can turn serious condition if found higher in body. Hypercalcemia is a condition in which the levels of calcium in the blood are higher than normal. Kidney stones or other types of kidney problems that release calcium into the urine (kidney stones).

A tumor, such as cancerous cells, or a benign tumor (benign neoplasm), that releases calcium into the urine (metastatic calcification).

How you will get higher vitamin D in your body?

Vitamin D supplements is the main cause of Toxicity. The main cause of toxicity is the use of Vitamin D supplements in large amounts. The body can not absorb this supplement, and it will be excreted through urine. This leads to a deficiency in the body, which causes problems such as bone pain, muscle weakness and fatigue. This will increase calcium in your body.

How many tablets should I take daily? It is recommended that you take 2-3 tablets per day if you are taking vitamin D supplements for more than a month. If it is only for a few days or weeks then 1 tablet per day is enough. It may be difficult to get used to this amount of supplementation but after that you will reduce.

Hypervitaminosis D

Hypervitaminosis D is a condition caused by excessive intake of vitamin D. It can be caused by taking too much vitamin D supplements, or eating foods that are high in vitamin D.

What causes Hypervitaminosis D? The most common cause of hypervitaminosis is taking high doses of vitamin D supplements. The body needs very little to no natural source of vitamin D to make it and this allows the body to store excess amounts in fat cells for later use as needed. Vitamin supplementation has become more popular over the last few decades with many people taking daily doses from 50,000 IU (international units).
