Vitamin d deficiency causes

 Vitamin D deficiency is a common condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It is caused by inadequate dietary intake or poor absorption from the diet and can lead to bone loss, muscle weakness, fatigue and other health issues. Inadequate dietary intake refers to the consumption of less than the recommended daily allowance (RDA) or estimated average requirement (EAR). The RDA is set by a committee that reviews scientific literature and recommendations from national and international bodies.


The body needs vitamin D for healthy bones and teeth as well as for proper immune system function. What are healthy bones and teeth?


Bones are made up of a number of different types of minerals. They also have living cells that help them to grow, repair and replace themselves. Healthy bones contain the right amount of minerals to keep them strong and flexible. The body needs calcium to make strong bones, phosphorus for their structure, sulfur for the formation of new bone tissue and vitamin D for absorption in the body. Calcium is found in dairy foods such as milk, cheese, yogurt or from green leafy vegetables such as kale or broccoli. Phosphorus can be found in meat products like chicken or fish. Vitamin D is also vital for the functioning of the heart, muscles and nervous system.

The function of the parathyroid glands is to regulate calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body. The hormones secreted by these glands are called parathormones, which control calcium and phosphate levels in blood plasma. When there is a decrease in calcium or phosphate, an increase in PTH occurs; when there is an increase in calcium or phosphate, a decrease occurs.


Vitamin D deficiency is caused by a lack of exposure to sunlight. In the Northern hemisphere, people who live in areas where there are no direct rays of the sun have vitamin D deficiency and are at risk for developing osteoporosis. The light which reaches us from the sun is reflected in all directions by our atmosphere and scattered by particles of dust, etc. in such a way that it appears to be coming from all points on the surface at once. It seemed to me therefore that if we could find some kind of instrument capable of detecting these scattered rays, we should have an instrument which would give us a picture not only of the general appearance but also with regard to detail, as seen through this atmosphere. Vitamin D also plays an important role in calcium absorption from your intestines into your bloodstream. 


Vitamin D is an essential nutrient, which means our bodies cannot produce it on their own.

Osteomalacia can occur at any age but most commonly affects children between 1-5 years old as well as adults over 50 years old. VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY It can affect any part of your body, but it usually affects bones and teeth. When you are older, osteomalacia may cause bone loss in your hips or spine. If this happens, you will have more risk for fractures as you age. Osteomalacia also causes softening of the bones in your jaw (or mandible). This condition is called periodontal disease because it affects the gums (periodontal) around your teeth.
