Vitamin d deficiency symptoms

The most common vitamin d deficiency symptoms include fatigue and weakness in the muscles. Bone pain, especially in the hip and spine. This is often due to osteomalacia (softening of bones), a condition that occurs when there is not enough vitamin D in the body. Osteomalacia causes bone loss, which can lead to fractures or even death if left untreated. It also causes muscle pain and tenderness as well as joint pain and stiffness. The painful joints may be accompanied by swelling around them (oedema). Joints affected by osteomalacia are often swollen for weeks before they become painful.

Osteomalacia is a disorder of the bone. The bones in your body are made up of calcium and other minerals that help to form them. Osteomalacia occurs when there is not enough calcium or vitamin D (calciferol) present in the body, which causes the bones to become soft and weak.
