 The best treatment for vitamin D deficiency is to take supplements. Vitamin supplements are the most common type of nutritional supplement. They contain vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that your body needs to function properly. The body can also make vitamin D from cholesterol and other fats. Vitamin D3 It also plays an important role in regulating the immune system, helping fight infection and maintaining strong muscles. Vitamin D3 can be found in foods such as fatty fish, eggs, fortified milk and some mushrooms.
